Roodi’s Core Beliefs

Roodi’s design approach was shaped through in-depth research on Neuroarchitecture and as a reaction to what he perceives as a growing sense of personal detachment within contemporary design movements, particularly those heavily influenced by fleeting trends. This realization led him to prioritize human-centric design, where the user’s emotional and spatial journey takes precedence over purely aesthetic concerns. He developed a keen interest in experimenting with flexibility; not only in terms of spaces and products, but also as a principle guiding the creative process and intent. Whether designing spaces or objects, he strives to create layered experiences that invite users to actively participate, adapt, and engage, where the person and the product become intertwined.

Believing that users only ever witness the final outcome of a long and often unseen design journey, Roodi insists that design should stimulate the senses and allow users to experience fragments of that process through materials and the interaction with the products. This philosophy fuels his commitment to modularity; a discipline he continuously explores and refines.

His work frequently embraces minimalism and simple geometric forms, layered with complex yet functional systems. He aims to introduce unexpected twists; bold, poetic, or reflective elements that add depth and intrigue. Throughout his projects, subtle nods to his Lebanese heritage are woven like hidden easter eggs, grounding him in his roots as he ventures confidently into new creative directions.
