The Vault is a conceptual interior project designed to embody MALLOUHI*’s vision, where the authentic meets the bold. The intervention takes place in an old stone vault, reimagined as a waiting area with a single seating element. To address the condition of the walls, stainless steel panels were introduced, extending down to the base of the vault. These panels create a subtle, blurred reflection that mediates between the bold yellow of the couch and the original stone and flooring of the space. The design approach was intentionally minimal, preserving the authenticity of the setting while highlighting its traditional character.
The Amariya at the center of the top vault was fitted with colorful stained glass, introducing a duality between the vibrant, color-infused interior and the natural environment outside.
